The Indian Ocean Faireys

The Indian Ocean Spearfish Quite a few Spearfish were exported to the Maldives for use as water taxis between the islands. A few still pop up in photographs taken by people holidaying on the islands. There was a long standing relationship between Fairey Marine and the Maldive Islands. The Island's Governor ran a large Swordsman like craft for sometime. A single Swordsman 33 was exported to the islands, but later sunk. Military Fairey Trackers were also sold to the Islands. Fantome No.8 and a Supermarine Swordfish also made their way there.
