Its not very often us Archivists get excited about stuff, but when we managed to "Find" a long lost hull and ID a known boat with a hull number all in one day - it was time for a celebration. Spearfish Number 1. is now officially Hercules thanks to a paint scraper and some elbow grease. So, if you are the owner of a Fairey without a known hull number - get the paint scraper out and start searching for numbers ;-) |
