Boat History

Purchased originally by Barney Drake of Easi-start fame. But became notorious as the Lymington Rescue boat (see MBY Dec 63 article)

Purchased by Dr. D. Harrocks in 1969 who installed a Ford Sabre 180HP engine in order to compete in the Cowes-Torquay in 1970 and 1971. (Race No. 701) (See Beken photo No. 734 1970)

Moved to the Channel Islands some time after 1975 and competed in local races.

Bought by Keith Hardy in 1994 and returned from the Channel Islands under her own bottom, (see MBY July 1993 article "Huntress Hunted" )

Complete hull restoration by Ken Brown between 1996 and 2002.

Although now based in the North she made the trip to the Solent in 2010 to attend the CTC-50 celebrations in Cowes.
